Cooking Instructions

Crispy Onion Pakora

  1. Mix 1 cup of besan with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin, and ajwain (carom seeds).
  2. Add sliced onions and enough water to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil over medium heat.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  5. Fry for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with mint or tamarind chutney.

Besan Chilla

  1. Mix 1 cup of besan with water to form a smooth batter.
  2. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander, green chillies, and your preferred spices.
  3. Pour onto a hot non-stick pan and spread evenly.
  4. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  5. Serve with yogurt or chutney.
