Cooking Instructions

Cooked Kodo Millet

  1. Rinse 1 cup of Kodo Millet thoroughly under running water.
  2. Soak for 20–30 minutes (optional for a softer texture).
  3. Add 2½ cups of water.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until the water is absorbed.
  5. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork before serving.

Kodo Millet Khichdi

  1. Rinse 1 cup of Kodo Millet.
  2. Heat oil or ghee and sauté cumin seeds, ginger, onions, and vegetables.
  3. Add the millet with 2½ cups of water and your preferred spices.
  4. Cook until tender and serve hot.
