MTR Vada Mix 200g. This convenient ready mix makes it easy to prepare traditional vadas with a crisp exterior and soft, savoury centre, without the need for soaking and grinding dal from scratch.

Perfect for breakfast, evening snacks, parties and special occasions, MTR Vada Mix can be served with coconut chutney, sambar, tomato chutney or South Indian filter coffee.

Cooking Instructions

1. Place the required quantity of MTR Vada Mix in a mixing bowl.
2. Add water gradually and mix well to form a thick, suitable batter.
3. Allow the batter to rest as recommended on the package.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai.
5. Shape the batter into vadas using wet hands or a suitable spoon.
6. Carefully place the vadas into hot oil and deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
7. Drain excess oil and serve hot.

Serving Suggestions

Serve freshly prepared vadas with coconut chutney, sambar, tomato chutney or mint chutney. They are also delicious as part of a traditional South Indian breakfast or snack platter.

Storage Instructions

Store the unopened pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. After opening, transfer the remaining mix to an airtight container and use within the recommended period indicated on the packaging.
