Mall Road Kala Chana 1kg is a traditional Indian pulse made from whole black chickpeas. Also known as Kala Chana or Desi Chana, it has a firm texture and delicious earthy flavour, making it ideal for a variety of Indian dishes.

Perfect for preparing Kala Chana curry, chana masala, salads, soups, sundal and nutritious snacks. Soaking before cooking helps soften the chickpeas and reduce cooking time.

  3. Drain and rinse with fresh water.
  4. Pressure cook with fresh water for approximately 5–7 whistles, or cook until tender.
  5. Use the cooked Kala Chana in your favourite recipe.
