Cooking Instructions

Crispy Onion Pakora

  1. Mix 1 cup of Fortune Besan with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin, and ajwain (carom seeds).
  2. Add sliced onions and enough water to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil over medium heat.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil.
  5. Fry for 3–5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with mint or tamarind chutney.

Besan Chilla

  1. Mix 1 cup of besan with water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander, green chillies, and spices.
  3. Pour onto a hot non-stick pan and spread evenly.
  4. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden.
  5. Serve with chutney or yogurt.
