Cooking Instructions

1. Cook toor dal (pigeon peas) until soft and mash well.
2. Cook your choice of vegetables such as carrots, beans, drumstick, pumpkin or onions.
3. Add the required amount of MTR Sambar Mix according to the package instructions.
4. Add the cooked dal and vegetables, then mix well.
5. Add water as needed to achieve your preferred consistency.
6. Simmer for a few minutes until the flavours blend well.
7. Serve hot with rice, idli, dosa or vada.

Tip: Add a traditional tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves and dried red chilli in a little oil for extra flavour.

Serving Suggestions
