Heera Bajri Seeds Whole 400g, also known as Pearl Millet (Bajra), are nutritious whole millet grains traditionally used in Indian and South Asian cuisine. Bajri has a naturally earthy, slightly nutty flavour and can be used in a variety of traditional and modern recipes.

Whole Bajri Seeds are ideal for grinding into bajra flour, making traditional Indian bajra roti, porridge and other millet-based dishes. They can also be cooked whole and added to hearty meals, salads and grain bowls.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heera Bajri Seeds, freshly ground into flour

  • Approximately 1–1½ cups warm water

  • Salt, optional

👩🍳 Cooking Instructions

  1. Grind the Heera Bajri Seeds into a fine or medium-fine flour using a suitable grain mill or powerful blender.

  2. Place the bajra flour in a bowl and add salt if desired.

  3. Gradually add warm water and knead to form a soft dough.

  4. Divide the dough into equal portions.

  5. Place each portion between two sheets of baking paper or plastic and gently flatten into a round roti.

  6. Carefully transfer the roti to a hot tawa or flat pan.

  7. Cook for approximately 1–2 minutes on each side.

  8. Flip again and cook until lightly browned and cooked through.

  9. Serve hot with vegetables, dal, curry or a little ghee.

🍲 How to Cook Whole Bajri Seeds

  1. Rinse the bajri seeds thoroughly under cold water.

  2. Soak for several hours or overnight for easier cooking.

  3. Drain and add fresh water.

  4. Cook until the grains become tender.

  5. Use cooked bajri in porridge, salads, grain bowls, soups or savoury dishes.
