🍖 Simple Indian Meat Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g mutton, lamb or other meat

  • 2–3 tbsp cooking oil

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tomatoes, chopped

  • 1–2 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 2 tbsp Everest Meat Masala

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp red chilli powder, according to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • 250–350ml water

  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

👩🍳 Cooking Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or pressure cooker.

  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and the oil begins to separate.

  5. Add Everest Meat Masala, turmeric, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook the spices for about 1 minute.

  6. Add the meat and sauté thoroughly so that the masala coats all the pieces.

  7. Add water, cover and cook until the meat becomes tender.

    • Pressure cooker: Cook according to the type and cut of meat, generally around 4–6 whistles.

    • Regular pan: Cover and simmer until the meat is tender, adding water as required.

  8. Once cooked, simmer uncovered for a few minutes to achieve your preferred gravy consistency.

  9. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
